Tel died unexpectedly on November 26, 2016, after celebrating a joyous Thanksgiving with his family in California.
Tel is survived by his parents Catherine and Norris, his brother Reid, as well as a large circle of close family and friends.
He was born on June 13, 1979 in St. Louis, MO, grew up in Denver, Colorado, received his undergraduate degree from UC Berkeley; he was awarded his J.D. law degree from Harvard Law School.
Tel was a passionate believer of social justice, and spent his career fighting for his clients, first in the Public Defender’s Offices in Alameda and Contra Costa counties; he currently was running his own law practice.
He will be remembered and continue through us as he lived – fiercely, passionately, and always overwhelmingly in love.
